Aptogo was founded in 2009 by Robin Summerhill. We are a full service design and development shop specialising in iPhone and iPad apps.
Prior to founding Aptogo, Robin worked as a senior consultant for Cambridge Consultants, a technical consultancy spin-off from Cambridge University, which undertakes R&D for blue-chip companies. During his time at Cambridge Consultants Robin worked as software team leader and architect on many innovative products in the mobile arena including the world’s smallest portable internet radio player and a mobile phone using breakthrough low-power radio technology. Robin also worked closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate their vision into successful products.
Previously, Robin worked for Cyan Technology, developing software tools for a new breed of low-power microprocessors for mobile devices. He has also worked for Perkin Elmer, developing data acquisition and analysis software for use in drug discovery and medical research.
Robin started his software career during his time as a doctoral student in the Department of Pharmacology at Oxford University, where he worked both in the research lab and at the Medical Research Council in London.
Robin is a keen cyclist, photographer and Argentine tango dancer. He holds a DPhil (PhD) in Pharmacology, an MA and a BA in Biochemistry from Oxford University.
